Last Friday I attended the grand opening of the “Dreamers Pizza & Bowls for Creative Souls” food truck. It is the brain child of Telisha & Doug Williams and Laura Schneider. Back in March, before the pandemic hit, Laura was working as a prominent photographer while Doug and Telisha were a successful touring band called Wild Ponies. But of course, if this year has taught most of us anything, its how to pivot.

With live music over, the tours cancelled and the photo shoots ground to a halt these three took that pivot option seriously and sunk everything they had into the Dreamers food truck. They bought a functioning one, took that business’s regular routes for a couple of months while they learned the ropes, figured out how to do it, tested menus and started reaching out to new locations so they could re-brand.

They launched a crowdfunding campaign with incredible rewards, and with that and some loans, their savings, and a ton of hard work, they did just that. They stripped the truck, found a designer to create the logo and wrapped the truck, perfected the menu, bought some new equipment and fully transformed it into one of the most beautiful food trucks you’ve ever seen.

And they truly wanted to feed not only tummies with it, but souls as well. There were hidden…
